leaving our city, moving, travelling, meeting new people, it taught us something at once simple and full of meaning: that invisible threads run between things, and that it takes very little for those threads to start glowing.

isn't that what anemonia is all about?

we take forgotten objects - things the world has stopped looking at - and we bring them into a universe of their own, a place where they can finally speak to one another. and from that conversation something is born that has no precise name, something a child would call magic, with that quiet certainty only those who haven't yet learned to doubt wonderful things can carry.

what happens if we try to do the same with people?

with friends met by chance in faraway places, with those whose way of seeing the world has touched us. what happens when the universe that lives inside anemonia meets these other universes? what is the result of this so-called "magic"?

it is from this naive curiosity that long distance friends was born: a series of creative works that grew out of encounters with people from different places, different studies, different lives - sometimes built from entirely different materials than our own.

we will show you how anemonia feels through their eyes - and we hope that you too, even for a moment, will feel that magic.
